We absolutely loved this wedding at The Green Building in Brooklyn, NY. As wedding photographers, we love wide open spaces with amazing big windows, plus photographing around Gowanus was almost too easy to find incredible backdrops for their photos.
This wedding is also featured over on PopSugar so be sure to check that out too HERE!
Rebecca & Ryan can seem a bit shy when you first meet them, but I've never seen 2 people more excited and so very happy to marry each other. Their wedding day was filled with so many personal details, from the Welcome bags that Rebecca designed herself that were filled with a Gowanus themed comic book, local Taffy and a NYC coloring book that welcomed her family from Montreal to the personalized pins that she crafted for each member of her wedding party. Her shoes were custom from Shoes of Prey and her Carol Hannah gown fit her perfectly. Ryan was joined by the couple's dog Larry as they both waited patiently to see Rebecca for the First Look.
After a few photos around the Green Building, we walked down the block to Ample Hill creamery to grab a treat. The line was wrapped around the place when we got there, but luckily everyone let them cut in line! They shared a milkshake before heading back to tie the knot. Their ceremony space was decorated not only with incredible arrangements and custom lighting, but handmade paper flowers adorned the chuppah hung up on the ceiling above where they wed. Rebecca likes to buck tradition and stepped on the glass herself. Also, the bride designed each element of her custom invitation suite and programs.
Even with all of the incredible details, it was their pure joy to be starting their lives together that made this day the most special.
